QS Quacquarelli Symonds, the global higher education analyst, released the 2022 QS World University Rankings Asia on November 2. Chinese Culture University made it for the first time to the 401-450 section of the top 500 university list.
President Shing-Ching Shyu at the administrative meeting thanked the deans of all the colleges, the Office of Research and Development, and all the staff for their hard work supporting the university’s good performance. He expected the school would obtain better scores in the future and move up from the current ranking next year.
According to the 2022 QS Asian University Rankings, a total of 687 universities in Asian countries were on the list, including China (126 schools), India (118), Japan (108), South Korea (88), Pakistan (47), Taiwan (46), Malaysia (36), Indonesia (33), Thailand (23), Philippines (15), Vietnam (11), Hong Kong (9), Sri Lanka (6), Singapore (3), Brunei (2), Macau (2) and Mongolia (1).
The National University of Singapore has retained the top position for four consecutive years. There are 46 Taiwanese universities on the list this year, and National Taiwan University holds onto the 19th place, leading all the universities in Taiwan.
Chinese Culture University entered the list in the 401-450 section this year. This is the first time the university was ranked top 500 universities in Asia, and among the listed Taiwanese schools, CCU was in 30th place along with several other universities.
