1. Why I Chose to Study in Taiwan
I chose to study in Taiwan because many of my Malaysian high school seniors spoke highly of its education system, quality of life, and affordability. Taiwan is culturally similar to Malaysia, making it easier to adapt. I was drawn to CJCU’s supportive learning environment, and the opportunity to experience a new culture while reducing financial pressure.
2. International Business Program at CJCU
I am currently studying International Business at CJCU, a program that builds global perspectives and cross-cultural management skills. It includes two key modules: Marketing and International Trade. Courses such as Consumer Behavior, International Business Communication, and Market Research help sharpen my analytical and teamwork abilities. Studying with classmates from France, Indonesia, Vietnam, and more has enhanced my cross-cultural communication and international cooperation skills.
3. Life on Campus
I actively participate in various activities and seminars to broaden my perspective. In August 2024, I was honored to represent CJCU at the United Nations University Scholars Leadership Symposium, where I learned about SDGs, human rights, and refugee issues. I also joined the MOE’s HANDS TOGETHER project to interact with local high school students. These experiences expanded my horizons and built valuable connections.
4. Life in Taiwan
Studying in Taiwan was my first time living independently. It taught me how to manage time, balance academics and life, and take on part-time jobs to ease financial pressure and gain work experience. Taiwan’s cultural richness and natural beauty also made my journey meaningful. The experience at CJCU has been life-changing, shaping my future with global competence and confidence.
