As a foreign student, I have been delighted with my experience in Taiwan. The daily life of a student is very easy, convenient and inexpensive here. The food is delicious; I’ve never seen so many varieties in one place! The weather is very pleasant, with lots of sunshine and moderate temperatures. It never got very cold this winter.

In addition, Taiwan handled the COVID-19 pandemic very effectively and smoothly. I have never felt constrained by the sanitary measures.

The city of Taichung is very sunny and warm. The local people are very friendly. They make an effort to speak English with foreigners, and I really appreciate this. I have felt welcome here from the beginning. I really enjoy visiting beautiful places near Taichung, such as the serene Sun Moon Lake, where I went with some friends. I have also had the chance to visit other cities,such as Yilan, Taipei, and Tainan. This has been an opportunity for me to learn about another culture and way of life.

Chaoyang University of Technology has exceeded my expectations. This is an institution that provides many resources to its students, so that they have a fulfilling and well-rounded education. The faculty are very talented and supportive of each student, ensuring that we each get the most out of our time here. The library provides opportunities to both study and relax. I also have my own workspace, which I can use any time throughout the day. In addition, there are excellent sports and gym facilities. Social events at Christmas and other holidays make for a fun community experience. The university also organizes trips to different, interesting parts of Taiwan for students. I really look forward to my continued studies here.
