The department provides a comprehensive selection of courses for its students, puts particular emphasis on problem solving for children and adolescents, and stresses comprehensive development in personal development in physiology, and psychology. Refinement and development of professional teachers and students are the practical goals of the department. Students will be able to obtain solid skills and practical ability in counseling and educational psychology. Furthermore, the department stresses the importance of higher levels of knowledge in psychological therapy and development in academic research.
Our department now signed a dual degree contract with the department of psychology at both SWOSU and Essex, assisting students to study abroad and providing diverse choices for the purpose of increasing students’ global perspective and broaden their international vision and think globally.
Our undergraduate program provides internship courses in counseling and guidance. Students will demonstrate professional knowledge they’ve learned and merge it with the experience of the internship to increase their professional ability to work as a school counselor or in related helping profession practices in the future.
Our graduate program also provides practicum courses to cultivate students the ability to work as a counseling psychologist in their future chosen field.
