E-Learning Master Program of Education and School Leadership

The E-Learning Master Program of Education and School Leadership (EESL) is a full English-taught program at National Chung Cheng University (CCU) and provides those who work at the schools and the educational institutions around the nation and world with opportunities to build up professional skills through online learning, mainly contributed by the academic staff from the Graduate Institute of Education, the Department of Adult and Continuing Education, the Center for Teacher Education, and the other units of the College. Our faculty members are not merely experienced lecturers but also experts in research and educational practices, particularly on the trends and issues in the fields of Education and School Leadership.
This program offers students not only a holistic online educational experiences of Taiwan but also a designed distance learning platform. In addition, this program is structured into required and optional courses and offers students a total of two times, face-to-face opportunities within the two-year study period, including the orientation week in the first semester and thesis oral defense week in the fourth semester. Basically, the students must attend these two time face-to-face meetings. For the courses attendances, students would be required to follow the related regulation and only three times Leave Application would be allowed per semester. If a scholarship recipient absents for more than three times per class in a semester, his/her scholarships will be suspended in the next semester.

International Master Program in Global Finance
The Program aims to enroll talented students (with a Bachelor of Business Administration) who are interested in Asia Pacific Financial Trade. Combining theory and practice, the program emphasizes an interdisciplinary integration across Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Information Technology, Information Management, and Financial Economic Law.

Master Program in Science in Advanced Manufacturing Systems
The Program emphasizes the integration of multidisciplinary knowledge including mechatronics, precision machining and manufacturing, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence to equip students with technical and leadership skills needed to excel in careers in the manufacturing industry.

Master/Ph.D. Programs in Educational Leadership and Management Development
The Program has the full support of the Taiwan International Cooperation and Development Fund (Taiwan ICDF) and the Elite Study in Taiwan Office, enrolling talented students from different countries all around the world. Immersed in advanced skill training courses and well-organized intellectual lessons in terms of educational leadership and management development, our students are expected to be professional, international, and to be committed to the sustainable development of their profession and this global community.

Ph.D. Program in Cognitive Sciences
The program covers areas encompassing psychology (especially cognitive psychology), linguistics, philosophy (especially philosophy of mind), artificial intelligence, image processing, machine learning, and neuroscience. We not only anticipate to make contributions to the study of mind, brain, and behaviors from our own disciplines, but also to benefit from closely interacting and communicating with colleagues from other disciplines that share the same intellectual interests, both at the level of theory construction and the level of empirical inquiry.

Doctoral Program in Science, Technology, Environment, and Mathematics
STEM is based on the current industry trends and comprised of advanced courses in physics, chemistry, chemical engineering, biomedicine, and environmental sciences. This all-English taught program provides graduate students with systematic cross-disciplinary knowledge and training in material synthesis, physical characteristics measurement, design of bio-sensing electronic components, and bio-technological application. We aim to cultivate cross-disciplinary elites in academia and in industry, strengthen students’ international competitiveness, and lead the trends of cross-disciplinary learning. To meet the urgent demand for cross-disciplinary personnel in high-tech industries, cross-disciplinary training is indispensable for cutting-edge scientific research and development institutions. In response to this, the STEM program is launched. As more and more interdisciplinary research happens, we expect the STEM program to serve as a new learning platform without traditional restraints to prepare our students in becoming a cross-disciplinary talent with international perspective. Our future goal is to develop this credit program into a degree program so as to bolster cross-disciplinary research competitiveness. Also, we offer English-taught courses for overseas students in response to a boom in international academic exchange. Through the STEM program, we look forward to training students for cross-disciplinary research and exerting CCU’s influence in international academia.
