Tops in elementary education and teacher training: Since 1895, National Taipei University of Education is the cradle of training elementary school teachers.

NTUE is centrally located in Taipei, which offers a wide variety of things to see and do and appeals to visitors and students around the world.

The University actively pursues a policy of international academic collaboration. Links with higher education institutions worldwide are formed and maintained through formal academic agreements, exchange programs, symposia and visits.

NTUE strive to be an excellent, exquisite, innovative and competitive university which specializes in teacher training, educational research, artistic design, digital technology, cultural innovation, and continuing education.

About Us

The National Taipei University of Education (NTUE) was inaugurated in 1896, 16 years before the Republic of China was founded. NTUE, known as National Taipei Teachers College, was renamed to its present title on August 1, 2005.

At present, NTUE comprises 3 colleges, namely Education, Humanities and Arts, Science, 16 departments, 18 graduate schools, offering 22 master's programs, 21 in-service master's programs, and 3 Ph.D. programs. The land capacity of the university is about 7.5 hectares and current student enrollment is around 5,800. The number of full-time faculty is 210.

Our continuing education programs are widely acclaimed.

Chinese Language Education Center (CLEC), a subsidiary of NTUE, was founded in the winter of 2006 for teaching Chinese as a second language.

NTUE continues to be the cradle of training elementary school teachers. We strive to be an excellent and innovative university specializing in teachers training and educational research.

NTUE International Students Scholarship aims to recruit outstanding students of foreign nationality to study at NTUE and promote academic internationalization.
