NTPU-Muhammad Aulia Rahman from Indonesia

I’m Rahman from Indonesia. My Chinese name is 莫子佩. In Indonesia, I live in a suburban area near Jakarta (the capital city of Indonesia).

I have so many reasons to study at National Taipei University. And the reasons are: Firstly, National Taipei University provides an English taught Master of Business Administration, which is the master's program that I want to take. Secondly, the Master of Business Administration program at National Taipei University is accredited with AACSB accreditation, which is the quality of business education no need to be in doubt. Thirdly, National Taipei University has a prayer room. Because as a Muslim, this is important and beneficial for me. Fourthly, as I have already searched and looked for the library in universities in Taiwan, I think National Taipei University has the most beautiful library in universities in Taiwan. It’s enormous and iconic. Fifthly, in my opinion, the location of National Taipei University is not far from Taipei, which is the capital city of Taiwan. It only takes 35-45 minutes to get to the downtown city by bus. Sixthly, the surrounding areas at National Taipei University are also really perfect. Lastly, about the dormitory at National Taipei University. Each room has its bathroom, including a washbasin. It made the student convenient.

The most impressive experience I had at NTPU was the free travel trip. In the 109 Fall semester, the Office of International Affairs (OIA) hold to travel to Keelung city for international students. We visited some tourist attractions at Keelung, such as Bitou Cape Park and Trail, 13-story ruins, Chaojing Park, Zhengbin Fishing Port, and Keelung Night Market. I already made a video of this trip and uploaded it to my YouTube channel.

There are some differences before and after studying at NTPU: Firstly, because my undergraduate major is different from the major that I’m taking now at NTPU, I learned about a new topic: finance. I learned from the definition, its subtopic, how to calculate it, and how it works in the real world. Secondly, I feel that my Mandarin language is improved. Because before I came to Taiwan, I learned the simplified Chinese characters, but now I know the traditional Chinese characters. Sometimes the professor also gave us a study case, how does financial management implement in the real world, how to analyze it, and what we should do in that study case as a finance person. In addition, my department often holds a seminar to enhance the student’s skills and knowledge, such as inviting a former chairperson of SinoPac Financial Holdings. He shared with us how to excel at finance or do that job. Not only a seminar but also my department hold a workshop such as a workshop on Phyton and how to implement it in finance.
