NYCU-Kabita Mahato from India

I came to Taiwan last year in February to pursue my master from National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU) Hsinchu city. I remember when I landed in Taiwan, I was having mixed feeling and a lot of thing were going in my mind but at the same time I was happy with my decision to come to Taiwan.

Since it has been just one year in Taiwan but it feels like I have experienced a lot of thing. I have been exposed to many international students in NYCU which gave me an opportunity to learn their culture, widen my perspective and be a better version of myself.

Taiwan is beautiful, different and very welcoming. Till now I have visited few of the cities of Taiwan and I feel that Taiwanese people are really good and polite in nature. Taiwan culture and food are totally different from Indian cuisine but I really like to have Hot pot and dumplings. The best thing I like about Taiwan is that it is one of the safest country, I really feel very safe. As an International student, I had to take Chinese courses, for the first time, I attended Chinese classes, I was very nervous. But now I am very fascinated to learn Chinese language. I think Taiwan education system is generally excellent and class environment is really good.

At last, I would like to say that the experience has given me more than what I have expected. I really like Taiwan.
