The College of Social Science in National Chung Cheng University ranked as the sixth in Taiwan by the Times World University Rankings

Founded in 1989, located in southwestern Taiwan, CCU was built as a research-oriented comprehensive university under prosperous governmental funding just after economic boom in 1980s. It devotes to enhance the academic research energy of professors and students by rewarding those who have outstanding achievements and expect them to create glory for the University, which makes the Times World University Rankings ranked the College of Social Science in CCU as the sixth in Taiwan.

In 2021, the Times Higher Education (THE) published the worldwide university subject’s rankings. CCU is on the list with four subjects, including Social Science (#501-600), Business and Economics (#601+), Computer Science (#601-800) and Engineering & Technology (# 601-800). The Social Science field, with excellent performance, has jumped to sixth place among domestic universities.

Three of CCU’s subjects also appeared on the QS World University Rankings 2021, including Linguistics (# 151-200), Engineering-Electrical & Electronic (# 401-450) and Computer Science & Information Systems (# 551-600). Above all, Linguistics entered the 151 to 200 rank band this year, which is an excellent achievement. What is more, three of CCU’s SDGs indicators entered the top 200 rank band in the globe: SDG2 (Zero hunger), SDG9 (Industrialization, Innovation and Infrastructure) and SDG12 (Responsible consumption and production).
