First of all, I would like to thank AICEE for the opportunity to write a few words about my currently enrolled university and pursuing PhD program, and about my personal experience in Taiwan. I am Aslia Asif from Pakistan, a first-year Ph.D. student at National Chung Cheng University (CCU), Taiwan. Additionally, I have always shown a willingness and keen interest in my existing and new subject matter. As a result, I am currently pursuing my PhD degree in Science, Technology, Environment and Mathematics (STEM) which is a multidisciplinary English taught program offering a wide variety of courses ranging from chemistry, biology, mathematics, physics, biomedicine, and environmental sciences. And this program serves as a new learning platform to encourage interdisciplinary elites in academia and industry, strengthen students’ competitiveness, and lead the trends of interdisciplinary learning.
CCU is one of the best universities of Taiwan providing quality education in the domain of science and technology. Furthermore, this young, growing, and prestigious higher institute is equipped with qualified faculties and standard research laboratories where students can easily perform their research studies. The departmental staff is very kind, nice and helpful. The campus is beautifully decorated, well organized having a naturally relaxed environment with full greenery settings all around. It is one of the amazing universities in Taiwan with a supportive living and studying environment where dormitories and schools are within walking distance. I strongly believe that studying at CCU can benefit me in my future career as it has a high reputation in Taiwan and worldwide.
The University, my professor, my fellows and mostly the people of Taiwan, their nature in treating people. I have received so much warmth and kindness from them. Taiwan is a unique place where students can get quality education while being surrounded by supportive and friendly people. I always believe that learning abroad in a country like Taiwan can give you some unique expertise and make you more independent. Studying in Taiwan is truly an amazing and eye-opening experience for me and I feel like I have learnt a lot so for. People in Taiwan are very hospitable and polite, and it is one of the most beautiful, safe, modern, clean and foreign friendly country in the world. I will definitely recommend students from other countries to choose Taiwan for studying and exploring cultural diversity in different institutions through their research and exchange programs.
Welcome to Taiwan. Welcome to study at CCU.
